Apprenticeship

I took on a challenging 7-year Fine Art Metal Sculpting Apprenticeship after completing my degree. Under the Artist: Brady Lueck, I learned the Art of Welding. I spent my time doing finish work on his pieces. This involved a lot of grinding, brushing, and chisel work.

I learned the various techniques for sculpting and texturing the steel. His experience as a Welding Instructor and a Long Time Fine Art Metal Sculptor, along with his Mythical, plant, and Wildlife themes, made the apprenticeship fly by.

This is the first week of my apprenticeship. I had just received the offer to turn my employment into the commitment of the apprenticeship and accepted the offer.
